This Refund Policy applies to purchases of Pro and Agency plans made on secureholdwp.com. Please read it alongside the Terms of Use and the License Terms.
Scope of this policy
This policy applies to subscription purchases of SecureHold WP Pro and Agency plans made through Stripe Checkout on secureholdwp.com. It does not apply to the Free plan, which is available at no charge and is not subject to refund requests.
This policy covers initial purchases and, under limited conditions described in section 06, renewal charges. It does not cover third-party costs associated with your use of SecureHold WP, including Stripe processing fees, WooCommerce extensions, hosting, or other services.
In case of conflict between this Refund Policy and the Terms of Use on the subject of refunds, this Refund Policy prevails.
Digital product notice
SecureHold WP is a digital product. When you purchase a Pro or Agency plan:
- A license key is generated and delivered to your purchase email address immediately after payment
- Your customer account on secureholdwp.com is created and ready to access
- Plugin downloads and Pro features are available as soon as your account is active
Because access to the product is available immediately upon payment, your purchase is considered fulfilled at the time the license is issued. This is relevant to how refund requests are evaluated, particularly where the plugin has already been downloaded or activated.
Initial purchase refund window
Refund requests for initial purchases may be considered within 14 days of the purchase date, subject to the eligibility conditions in section 04 and the exclusions in section 05.
Requests submitted more than 14 days after the initial purchase date are generally not eligible for a refund. SecureHold WP may review late requests at its discretion in exceptional circumstances, but this is not guaranteed.
This window applies to the first payment for a new subscription. Renewal charges are covered separately in section 06.
Refund eligibility
A refund request within the 14-day window may be approved if all of the following conditions are met:
- The request is submitted to support@secureholdwp.com within 14 days of purchase
- The request includes the purchase email address, the plan purchased, the approximate date of purchase, and a description of the issue
- The plugin has not been activated on more than one site
- The plugin has not been used in a live production environment with real customer transactions
- The issue described cannot be reasonably resolved through support or configuration changes
SecureHold WP reviews each request individually. Approval is not automatic and is not guaranteed, even within the 14-day window.
Non-refundable cases
A refund request will generally not be approved in the following circumstances:
- The request is submitted more than 14 days after the initial purchase date
- The plugin has been downloaded and activated on more than one site
- The plugin has been used in a live production environment with real customer transactions
- The issue is caused by your server environment, hosting configuration, a third-party plugin conflict, or a WordPress or WooCommerce configuration issue outside SecureHold WP
- The issue can be reasonably addressed through support, documentation, or configuration changes
- The request is based on a feature not described on the pricing page or in the documentation at the time of purchase
- The subscription has already been cancelled and the access period has expired
SecureHold WP reserves the right to decline any refund request that does not meet the conditions in section 04, regardless of the reason provided.
Renewal charges
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. The renewal charge is processed by Stripe using the payment method on file. You can cancel your subscription at any time before the next renewal date through the Billing Portal, accessible from your account area.
Renewal charges are generally non-refundable once processed. If you were unaware of an upcoming renewal and wish to request a review, contact support within 7 days of the renewal date. Requests submitted after 7 days from the renewal date will not be considered.
SecureHold WP does not guarantee a refund of renewal charges in any case. Renewal refund requests are reviewed individually and at the sole discretion of SecureHold WP.
To avoid unexpected renewal charges, cancel your subscription before the next billing date using the Billing Portal in your account area.
Cancellation vs refund
Cancelling your subscription and requesting a refund are two distinct actions with different effects.
Cancellation stops future automatic renewals. After cancellation, your license remains active until the end of the period already paid for. Once that period ends, your license expires and access to Pro features, downloads, and priority support is no longer available. Cancellation does not trigger a refund of the current billing period.
A refund reverses a payment already made. If a refund is approved and processed, it may result in immediate revocation of your license, regardless of whether there is remaining time in the billing period. See section 08 for the full effect of a refund on your license.
If you want to stop being charged in the future without affecting your current access, use the Billing Portal to cancel. Do not request a refund unless you want the payment reversed and accept the potential loss of remaining access.
Effect of a refund
If a refund is approved and processed, the following changes may apply to your license and account:
- Your license status may be updated to revoked
- Access to plugin downloads through the account area is no longer available
- License activations associated with the license may be deactivated
- Pro and Agency features in the installed plugin may cease to function
- Access to priority support is no longer available
- Your customer account on secureholdwp.com remains accessible, but without an active license
The SecureHold WP plugin itself remains installed on your site if you previously installed it. The plugin configuration data stored in your WordPress database is not automatically deleted. You may uninstall the plugin from your WordPress admin at any time.
You retain any copies of the plugin source code you have already received, subject to the terms of the GPL-2.0-or-later license under which the plugin code is distributed. A refund does not affect or remove your rights under the GPL on the software code itself.
Partial and prorated refunds
Partial refunds and prorated refunds are not guaranteed and are not a standard part of this policy.
SecureHold WP does not offer automatic prorated refunds when:
- A subscription is cancelled before the end of an annual billing period
- A plan is downgraded during a billing period
- The plugin is used for part of a subscription period and then discontinued
In exceptional circumstances, SecureHold WP may offer a partial refund as a goodwill gesture. This is entirely at SecureHold WP's discretion and does not create a precedent or obligation for future requests.
How to request a refund
To request a refund, send an email to support@secureholdwp.com with the following information:
- The email address used to make the purchase
- The plan purchased (PRO 1 Site, Business 5 Sites, or Agency 25 Sites)
- The approximate date of purchase or renewal
- A clear description of the issue or reason for the request
Providing accurate and complete information helps SecureHold WP review your request. Incomplete requests may result in a delayed or declined review.
Do not include your full payment card details or Stripe payment method credentials in your email. SecureHold WP support does not require this information to process a refund request.
Processing time
Refund requests are reviewed manually. SecureHold WP does not guarantee a specific response time or resolution timeline for refund requests.
If a refund is approved, it is processed through Stripe or through the original payment method where technically feasible. The time for a refund to appear on your statement depends on Stripe, your card issuer, and your payment method. SecureHold WP has no control over these timelines and cannot guarantee when the funds will be credited to your account.
You will be notified by email when a decision has been made on your request.
Free plan
The Free plan is available at no charge. There is no payment associated with the Free plan and no refund is applicable or possible.
If you are on the Free plan and would like access to Pro features, you can upgrade to a paid plan at any time. The Free plan remains available regardless of whether you have previously held a paid plan.
